CANOPS WESTJET TICKETS GIVEAWAY CONTEST RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

CONTEST PERIOD:

1. The CanOps WestJet Tickets Giveaway Contest (the "Contest") is sponsored by WestJet, 22 Aerial Place NE, Calgary, AB, Canada (“Prize Sponsor”) in conjunction with the Canadian Public Safety Operations Organization, PO Box 23109, RPO South Hill Mall, Prince Albert, SK, Canada, ("Sponsor") and begins on September 1, 2024, at 12:00 a.m. Central Standard Time ("CST") and ends on November 30, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. CST (the "Contest Period").

ELIGIBILITY:

HOW TO ENTER:

3.To participate, eligible entrants have two options:

I. Social Media Entry: Follow us on on the following platforms, LinkedIn at CanOps Solutions LinkedIn, X at CanOps Solutions X, and on Facebook at CanOps Solutions Facebook during the Contest Period to receive one (1) entry into the Contest per social media channel followed. Entrants must send a direct message with their name and email address to confirm their entry. On the platform X you do not have to direct message.

II. No Purchase Necessary: To enter without purchase, hand-print your name, email address, and phone number on a plain 3″ x 5″ piece of paper. Include a return address and mail it with sufficient postage to:

Limit one (1) entry per envelope with sufficient postage. All letters mailed must be received prior to end of contest date for eligible entry of the contest.

PRIZES:

4. There will be one prize available to be won, consisting of one roundtrip flight for two guests to any regularly scheduled and marketed WestJet destination. * (*No cash value. Taxes, fees, and surcharges not included. Blackout dates and restrictions apply.)  
5. The total approximate retail value of the prize is $4240 CAD. Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at the Sponsor's sole discretion
6. This voucher is valid for one (1) roundtrip flight for two (2) guests to any regularly scheduled and marketed WestJet destination. Gift of flight vouchers are not valid for redemption on WestJet Vacations' or Sunwing Vacations' packages, flights operated by Sunwing Airlines, charters, codeshare, or interline flights.
7. This voucher is limited and subject to promotional space availability of eligible fare options and flight schedule. Not all flights have promotional space.
8. Fees, taxes, and surcharges are the responsibility of guests traveling and must be paid for at the time of booking with a valid credit card. Vouchers do not include optional fees such as checked baggage or cabin upgrades.
9. This voucher cannot be used on some dates, including statutory holidays and peak travel dates.
10. Flights must be roundtrip to and from the same locations. Flights must depart from city A to city B and return from city B to city A. All guests must travel together on the same itinerary, dates, and flights.
11. All bookings and travel must be completed by Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
12. Gift of flight vouchers cannot be extended. Additionally, changes to travel dates or guest names are not permitted once a booking has been confirmed.
13. Bookings made with a gift of flight voucher are not eligible for paid cabin upgrades except where the option to pay for an upgrade is available when checking in for the flight 24 hours prior to departure.
14. This voucher will become null and void if travel is cancelled once a booking is confirmed.
15. The individual booking the flights must be over the age of majority in their province.
16. This voucher must be taken as offered and is not redeemable for cash.
17. Gift of flight vouchers cannot be sold. In the event that it has been sold, the voucher will become void, and any flight bookings made with it will be cancelled immediately without notice or reimbursement. WestJet does not handle the payment, guarantee transactions, or buyer protection or seller certification, nor will WestJet be liable for the loss of funds resulting from a fraudulent transaction.
18. Guests travelling on a WestJet gift of flight voucher are not entitled to compensation amounts provided under passenger rights regimes. By redeeming the gift of flight voucher, all guests travelling agree to release, and waive all claims against, WestJet relating to any and all liability, damage, or compensation entitlement arising under Canada's Air Passenger Protection Regulations.
19. WestJet is not responsible for lost or mishandled vouchers. Once a voucher has been delivered to you, you are directly responsible for it

DRAW AND WINNER SELECTION:

20. Winners will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
21. The draw will take place on Tuesday December 31st, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. CST at Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, through a random name generator.
22. Winners will be notified by email within seven business days following the draw date. If a potential winner cannot be contacted within two business days of the first attempt to contact him/her, or if a potential winner fails to comply with these Contest Rules, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner.
23. Chances on winning the contest is dependant on how many entries are entered into the contest.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

24. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest.
25. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or website or who violates these Contest Rules.
26. The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Contest, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion.
27. Winners will be required, as a condition of winning a prize, to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, the Sponsor’s time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question.

PRIVACY:

28. Personal information collected in connection with this Contest will be used in accordance with Sponsor's privacy policy available at: https://www.canopsstore.org/policies/privacy-policy. By participating in the Contest, entrants hereby agree to Sponsor's collection and usage of their personal information and acknowledge that they have read and accepted Sponsor's privacy policy.
29. With the exception of any personal information of entrant which is subject to applicable privacy laws and the terms of Sponsor's privacy policy, with any participation in the Contest, entrants consent to the use of the entrant's name, social media handle(s), comments, and image or other likeness, whether on videotape or via photograph, for the administration of the Contest or any publicity carried out by the Sponsor without further notice or compensation.

RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION:

30. All winners must sign the Sponsor’s Winner Release to: (i) confirm compliance with all Contest Rules; (ii) agree to accept prizes as awarded; (iii) release, discharge and hold harmless the Sponsor, its departments and agencies, parent, related and affiliated companies, subsidiaries, franchisees, advertising and promotional agencies, counsel, marketing partners, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, shareholders, successors, sponsors, partners, licensees, subsidiaries, agents, artists, advisors, assignees, and all others associated with the administration, development, and execution of the Contest ("Released Parties") from any and all manner of action, cause of action, claim or demand, loss or injury, or any suit, debt, covenant, contract, including legal fees and expenses, whatsoever, including but not limited to, claims based on negligence, breach of contract and fundamental breach, failure of any third-party contractor or supplier used in connection with any aspect of the Contest to perform or deliver any goods or services, or any act of God or any other event beyond the Released Parties’ control, any dissatisfaction of any kind by a winner with any aspect of the Contest or any prize, liability for physical injury, death, or property damage which the entrants, or their parent(s) or legal guardian(s), as applicable, guests or other third parties, their heirs, successors or assigns have, might have or could have suffered, by reason of or arising out of the entrant’s participation in the Contest and/or in connection with the acceptance and/or exercise by the entrant of prizes as awarded; and (iv) indemnify the Released Parties against any loss, damage or expense, including legal fees, that any of the Released Parties may suffer or incur as a result of any non-compliance by entrants with any of the Contest Rules or participation in the Contest and/or in connection with the acceptance and/or exercise by an entrant, use or misuse of a prize, or any travel related thereto.
31. The Sponsor is not responsible for: (i) incorrect or inaccurate entry information that may affect a person’s ability to participate in the Contest or be awarded a prize, including but not limited to human error, technical malfunctions, lost or delayed entries for any reason, mail failures, omission, or any combination thereof, and entries that fail to fully comply with these Contest Rules; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (iii) lost, incomplete, delayed, mutilated or misdirected entries or Winner Releases; (iv) injury or damage to entrants’ computers or to any other individual’s computer related to or resulting from participating in, or downloading any material regarding the Contest or accepting a prize; (v) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize, including any related travel and the use of entries by Sponsor; (vi) the security or privacy of information transmitted via computer networks or for breaches of privacy due to interference by third-party computer hackers or otherwise; or (vii) late, lost, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify a potential winner.

GOVERNING LAW:

32. The Contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial, and local laws, as well as the rules adopted in view of said laws. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Rules or the rights and obligations as between the Entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction’s laws.
